2016 was another successful year for 8Adventures and we’d like to take the opportunity to thank all the people we met along the way. Eric and the team proudly welcomed hundreds of travellers from around the world, and we wish to make many new friends again this year. Amongst our New Years Resolutions are ambitions to spearhead an environmental campaign to protect the Mae Taeng river and launch some new, original and awesome adventures!
We are always interested to read reviews and comments for our guests, and one of our achievements this year was being awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence after reaching 250 5-star reviews. This is assurance that our concept is working and we aim to build on this progress in 2017 by listening to feedback and adding new adventures to stay ahead of the game.

As with every year, there were challenges. During March- May, Thailand faced the country’s worst drought since the 1960’s. The heat was scorching, and the river dropped to the lowest level we’ve ever seen. A consequence, perhaps, of global warming. Fortunately, just as we were contemplating a future without water, it rained!
Globally speaking, 2016 was a year full incident; from the election of Donald Trump (a Climate Change skeptic) to the loss of Thailand’s Great King.
Whilst life in the jungle of Mae Taeng can seem far removed from the troubles of the world, we are always concerned for the future and wish for peace and harmony for everyone.
