Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) — Travel Guide for 8Adventures Guests
Thailand now uses a Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) to streamline entry for international travelers. This simple online form replaces paper arrival slips and helps speed up immigration processing — especially useful if you're arriving in Chiang Mai for your 8Adventures trip.
The form takes about 3–5 minutes to complete if you have your passport and flight details ready. You must submit it within 72 hours (3 days) before arriving in Thailand.
⚠️ Important Warning — Use Only the Official Site
There are many fake websites charging fees or collecting personal data for the Digital Arrival Card. The TDAC is completely free and issued only through the official Thai Immigration Bureau:

Do not share your passport or travel information on any other site.

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is an official online immigration form required for foreign travelers entering Thailand by air, land, or sea. It collects basic arrival, departure, and accommodation details to simplify immigration processing and eliminate paper cards.
Every non-Thai traveler entering Thailand must submit a TDAC — including children and infants. Parents or guardians can complete the form on behalf of their dependents. Thai citizens do not need to register.
Submit your Digital Arrival Card within 72 hours (3 days) before your arrival. Submitting earlier may invalidate the form. Example: if you arrive on November 6, submit from November 3 onwards.
Apply only on the official Thai Immigration Bureau portal: https://tdac.immigration.go.th. There are no fees — beware of any site asking for payment or credit card details.
- 🪪 Passport details: full name, passport number, nationality, date of birth.
- ✈️ Travel details: arrival date, departure date, flight numbers, country of embarkation.
- 🏠 Accommodation: hotel name and address in Thailand (for Chiang Mai, search “Mueang Chiang Mai”).
- 🌍 Travel history & health info: countries visited in the past 14 days, any recent symptoms.
Completing the form usually takes 3–5 minutes. It can be filled on a mobile phone, tablet, or desktop. Make sure you have stable internet and double-check all entries before submitting.
You can update details like your accommodation or travel dates before arrival. If core data such as your name, passport number, or nationality is wrong, you must submit a new TDAC. Your latest QR code is the valid one at immigration.
A printout is optional. You can show the QR code from your phone or tablet. Still, we recommend saving an offline copy or screenshot in case you lose signal or battery on arrival.
On arrival, present your TDAC QR code, passport, and boarding pass. An officer will scan the code to verify your information. If you haven’t completed the form, you can fill it at an airport kiosk, but expect longer processing time.
Transit passengers who do not clear immigration and remain airside are exempt from the TDAC. If you exit the international zone for any reason, you must complete the form.
You will see a confirmation page and receive an email with a QR code and reference number. If it doesn’t arrive within an hour, check your spam folder or resubmit on the official site.
Yes — the TDAC is free for everyone. Any website asking for a “processing fee” is not official and should be avoided. Only use the link ending in .go.th.
The TDAC form works on most modern devices and browsers including Google Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox. Ensure JavaScript is enabled and pop-ups are allowed so you can see the confirmation screen.
Visit the official TDAC Manual & FAQ for current instructions or see Thai Immigration Bureau announcements for news and system updates.
